Pirouette does not provide cash refunds and all sales are final. We
know that plans can change, so we’re happy to move your booking to
another date or return the class credit to your account if you
cancel at least 24 hours before the event.
To cancel a class, you can message us via DM or email, or adjust your
booking directly through Bookwhen by going to Your Events, selecting
Manage for the class, and choosing cancel or transfer. Even if it’s less
than 24 hours before class, please let us know if you won’t be attending
so the instructor knows who to expect and can begin on time.
This policy helps us plan lessons that fit the students attending and
gives people on the waitlist a fair chance to join in case of spaces
opening up.
We understand being late is sometimes not your fault! However,
please try and make the instructor aware if you are going to be
late. If you are late to class (any time after the time on the
booking site) you may not be permitted to join the class. Aim to
arrive slightly before class begins to allow you time to get ready,
get your heels on, etc!
If you cannot make a class you have booked in the day, please message
the instructor privately on WhatsApp instead of posting in the group.
This helps us offer the spot to those on the waitlist and keeps things
fair If it’s last minute (within an hour of the class), feel free to
post in the chat as usual.
Be nice to each other! The studio is a safe space for everyone and we want to keep it that way. Any bullying behaviour will not be tolerated.
Our studio does not have a designated waiting area, only a corridor shared by other businesses and people who live in the building. Bear this in mind and try not to arrive too early to class and block the hallway!
For your own safety, only practice skills you have learnt in class with an instructor! And for others safety, do not attempt to teach them a move if they have not learnt it in class, even if you have!
Grip aids like Monkey Grip and Itac are very difficult to clean off the poles, so please avoid those brands! Make sure to spray and wipe your pole at the end of class to remove any grip (towels and spray provided!) Also, kindly remove any rings from your fingers as these can damage the poles!
Please refrain from attending class if you are feeling too unwell.
This is for your own health and for the wellbeing of others. While
minor cold symptoms are ok, we kindly ask you to rest at home for
anything more serious or contagious. Remember that our transfer
policy is at least 24 hours notice, so if you are unwell the day
before your class it may be advisable to transfer your booking.
If you are dealing with an injury, we recommend seeking advice from a
medical professional before joining class. This helps ensure you can
participate safely without risking further harm. Be sure to notify your
instructor of any injuries before class begins!
Our classes allow for 2 people to a pole, so please make sure to allow the other person an equal amount of time on the pole. Generally, if you have tried something 2/3 times in a row, take a rest and allow the other person their turn.
In level based classes, the instructor will prepare skills within
the level advertised. In mixed level classes, it is likely that
there will be a range of levels working on different skills. Please
only attempt the skill that the instructor has asked you to work on
for your own safety!
Also, while the instructor is demonstrating, please pay attention and
pause conversation so you and all other students can hear what is being
said.
